About to hire one developer to run your whole Microsoft platform?

If your job spec asks for Canvas apps, model-driven apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, APIs, JavaScript and two certifications, you're not describing a developer. You're describing the platform lead you don't have yet.

A single hire will build what's asked. What's usually missing is someone deciding what should be built, where data should live, who can see what, and how changes reach production safely.

This is for charities and smaller organisations that need senior direction, but not a full-time architect.

Sound familiar?

Apps are multiplying and nobody has a list of them

People build what they need, which is good, until nobody can say what exists, who owns it or what depends on it.

SharePoint lists are doing a database's job

It was the quick answer at the time. Now it holds data the organisation depends on, and it's reaching the limits of what a list should do.

Security roles were set up once and never revisited

People have changed jobs and teams since. Nobody can say for certain who can see what.

Every change is made straight in production

There's no test environment and no easy way back, so people either take the risk or stop making changes.

You want to use AI, but you're not sure your data is ready

An agent is only as good as the data it can reach and the permissions around it. Those questions come first.

The person who built it has left

The platform still runs, but the reasons behind it went with them.

What we take on

Architecture and roadmap

What to build in Dataverse, SharePoint or SQL, and in what order.

Governance

Environments, data policies, security roles, naming and ownership.

Release discipline

Solutions, source control and pipelines, so changes stop going out by hand.

Hands-on delivery

We build the hard parts ourselves: integrations, APIs, plugins and data.

Coaching your team or your hire

We review their work and explain the decisions, so the capability stays in-house.

Training on your real work, if you want it

Hands-on sessions built from your own use cases and backlog, so your team learns on the work in front of them rather than on generic examples.

How it starts

  1. 01

    Health check

We usually start with a fixed-price review. It shows what's at risk and what to fix first, so the work starts from facts.

  2. 02

    Roadmap

We turn the findings into a plan: what comes first, what can wait and what to leave alone.

  3. 03

    Month by month

Each month we agree what we'll deliver, deliver it and show you what changed.

Monthly contract, agreed up front

You get a fixed monthly fee and a scope agreed up front. Each month we agree what we'll deliver, and anything bigger is quoted separately. We work as an outside supplier, not as a member of your staff. You'll know who is doing the work before you're quoted, and nobody is added afterwards without your agreement.

Would a hire be cheaper?

You might be thinking a consultancy will cost more than a hire. If you have full-time build work for years ahead, it probably will, and we'll tell you to hire. If what's missing is direction, you need senior judgement some of the time, not a full-time role. Hire your developer once we've set the direction, or work with us month by month instead. You could also hire a senior lead, and if there's enough work to fill that role, you should.

Before it goes out

Talk to us before you finalise the job spec. Tell us what the role is for. In a 30-minute call we'll work out with you whether you need a hire, a monthly contract or a health check first. Send us a message, or read what your job spec may be telling you.

Common questions

Should we still hire?

That depends on the work. You can use us to set the direction and then hire, or keep working with us as an outside supplier. If you have full-time build work for years ahead, we'll tell you to hire.

How does the monthly contract work?

A fixed monthly fee and a scope agreed up front. Each month we agree what we'll deliver, and anything bigger is quoted separately.

Who does the work?

Senior specialists only, each with 20+ years' experience. You'll know who before you're quoted, and nobody is added afterwards without your agreement.

What happens if we stop?

The code, configuration and documentation we create for you sit in your tenant, so your team or another supplier can carry on without us. Our import framework is the exception: it's licensed to you rather than handed over.
